Our client, a technology company based in Bidford on Avon, Warwickshire, require an Accountant to join their team. This is a permanent position that has been created as the company has grown. Role Description Maintaining the accounts for the business group. Balancing accounts (also known as 'double book keeping'), processing sales invoices, receipts and payments, completing VAT returns and associated activities for HMRC. Checking company bank statements, preparing cash flow statements, dealing with financial paperwork and filing. Prepare the profit and loss sheets for the annual accounts. Monthly Payroll processing including bonus verification, PAYE activities and maintaining an annual leave request log. Tasks Include: All aspects of bookkeeping Finalising paperwork for despatch to HMRC working to deadlines Completing VAT returns & Ensuring compliance with all VAT matters Processing payroll & all associated tasks - e.g. expenses etc. Purchase Ledger & Sales Ledger Liaison with Company Accountant: Prepare papers for end of year accounts Budgets | Project cost management | R&D Key supplier management and Purchase Order Control & stock control reporting Cashbook/petty cash control Internal Auditing to ISO 9001:2015 Annual returns Support in ensuring compliance matters and reporting - e.g. FCA & PCI DSS etc. Production of Management reports - e.g. monthly P&L AAT Accounting Level 2 and 3 or above or in advanced stages of completing suitable professional qualifications
