iMultiply are engaged on a permanent Financial Accountant role for a large corporate business based in Edinburgh paying £40,000 - £50,000 plus an excellent benefits package including car allowance and bonus. The Company This business has experienced substantial expansion as a result of organic growth, restructuring and M&A activity over the past five years. Its renowned for creating a fast paced and interactive environment where finance professionals will receive excellent exposure & visibility of the entire business whilst developing and progressing their careers. Furthermore, the company has a highly talented leadership team within finance that are passionate about mentoring and nurturing future Finance Directors and CFO's. The Role The position of Financial Accountant is a newly developed role as a result of the continued growth, expansion and restructuring. The role will report to and deputise for the Head of department whilst also having a dotted line to the Finance Director. The position of Financial Accountant will sit within the corporate accounting function but work very closely with FP&A, transactional finance, projects, taxation and also audit, risk & compliance. This opportunity will ideally suit a qualified CA looking to make their first move into industry from the Big Four or a Top Tier Firm. On Offer The position of Financial Accountant will offer a salary of £40,000 - £50,000 plus a car allowance, bonus and other company perks including a highly competitive pension. You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties: Reporting to and deputising for the Head of Corporate Accounting Preparation and presentation of monthly reporting packs including liaising with audit, risk, compliance and taxation Preparation of statutory accounts under IFRS Assisting with year-end audit including liaising with external auditors Consolidation of accounts for multiple entities Overseeing group intercompany transactions Reviewing and ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet Business partnering with treasury and taxation departments to improve cash flow and optimise reserves Reviewing and improving processes, procedures & controls Assisting with M&A activities including the integration of new entities into the group Adhoc duties To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience: Qualified Accountant - ICAS, ICAEW or ACCA (ESSENTIAL) IFRS experience would be highly advantageous Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to liaise, communicate and influence senior stakeholders Please do not hesitate to contact John Gilbertson for a private & confidential discussion.
