Our established and highly reputable client is seeking to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their team in central Haywards Heath. This is very much a finance operational role within an excellent employer. RESPONSIBILITIES Preparation and processing of daily journal entries Entering data into General Ledger accounting system Accounts Payable, payment of invoices/expenses and processing journal entries Support the Finance Team in the efficient running of the department JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Preparation of daily journal entries relating to cash transactions Accurately key entering data into accounting system Preparation of entries for bank charges and transfers relating to UK bank accounts Accounts Payable - Input and preparation of invoices, sorting out invoice queries etc Preparation & input of Employee expenses Archiving and general office duties SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE Experience of working in a Finance or Banking environment Working knowledge of Excel, including spreadsheets, data input, formulas etc. Knowledge of Word and Outlook Knowledge of Banking systems for payments and exporting data Strong attention to detail & the ability to use initiative and prioritise to achieve deadlines as required Accurate data input essential Organized and methodical Hard working, dependable and eager to learn Ability to work in harmony with co-workers, a good team player Pro-active learner with a desire to acquire new skills Excellent communication skills both written and oral Great opportunity within a superb employer who offer great benefits. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 09.00 - 17.00
