Commercial Accountant Horwich £45,000 - £50,000 Manufacturing group in the North West have an exciting opportunity for a CIMA / ACCA qualified Management Accountant. You will enjoy managing a small team of talented part qualified accountants who produce accurate and timely management accounts, reporting packs and MI. You role encompasses: Ensuring tight controls allow the management accounts pack to be highly accurate and completely credible Presenting and relaying financial information to the non finance leadership team (daily / weekly / monthly) Bringing areas of concern and opportunity to the immediate attention of the business leadership team / local board (including head of finance) Suggesting strategies for cost control, driving profitability, preventing margin erosion and delivering new products seamlessly and cost effectively You will have a pivotal and broad role with a high degree of project exposure. It is a natural stepping stone to FC / Commercial FM level within the business locally. There is a high degree of business partnering with operational colleagues across the large production facility and you must be very comfortable and at ease within a rapid-paced modern manufacturing environment. The role would best suit: Someone with a proactive approach to making a difference and their own career advancement. Qualified Accountant with a strong track record as Management Accountant / Senior MA within a fast paced environment (ideally manufacturing or distribution) Someone able to demonstrate excellent business acumen and ability to translate complex financial reporting for a non finance audience Someone with excellent IT skills and an impressive academic track record.
