Are you experienced in Credit Control or Collections? Ideally Business to Business? Our successful manufacturing client seeks a Credit & Collections Team Member to join their growing Finance Department in Caerphilly. Reporting to the Credit & Collections Team Leader, your primary responsibility will be to protect the company investment in its debtors as well as maintaining the lowest level of receivables by maximising cash collections and minimising bad debt. JOB ROLE
• Responsible for carrying out the day to day collections activities as defined in the credit policy.
• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and will build excellent working relationships with these customers, liaising with them directly regarding payments and adherence to agreed credit terms, thus ensuring that cash targets and achieved and where possible, exceeded.
• Keep within acceptable levels of bad debts and will identify high risk and marginal risk accounts, taking the necessary action to safeguard sales to those customers.
• Monitor overdue debt against agreed payment terms and will act in accordance with the credit policy.
• Comply with the credit insurance policy at all times and will provide assistance in regards to bad debt provisioning.
• Build excellent working relationships within the Credit & Collections Team and wider business, adopting a flexible approach to ensure targets are met effectively.
• Support other Team Members, providing cover during periods of absence when required.
• Work closely with the Credit & Collections Team Leader, informing them of any key collections issues and suggesting ideas for process improvement where possible.
• Participate in regular credit meetings and will provide information to management as requested. REQUIREMENTS
• Proven experience in a similar role, within a large organisation
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build good working relations with both internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to resolve internal and external customer queries
