They have been going through a large recruitment drive to reflect their ambitions in hiring and retaining the best talent for the accountancy function. There will be ongoing training and support in this role.

Description

As Assistant Accountant, you will be an integral part of the shared service centre and provide in reviewing all management accounts and accounts payable processes. Key duties will include:

• Reviewing key bookkeeping and purchase ledger processes
• Ad hoc reviews on these processes
• Processing and reviewing management accounts
• Supporting with VAT returns
• Working independently and as a team to provide a first class service to stakeholders
• Ensuring all deadlines are met and delivered within budget
• Supporting peers and junior members of the team

Profile

To be considered for this Assistant Accountant role, you must have the following skills and experience:

• Experience in preparing management accounts
• Experience in desktop and/or cloud accounting packages
• Good knowledge of Excel
• Well presented and strong communication skills
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as using own initiative
• A strong desire to progress and willingness to learn
