We have an opportunity for a Head of Finance and Operations to join their team of staff in the Senior Management department. This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. Applicants should meet the following criteria: Formal finance qualification Strong technology skills, including computerised financial systems and Microsoft Office Demonstrated ability to quickly appraise complex situations and to identify key issues Management of multiple departments Demonstrated ability to deliver financial and operational KPIs Managing multiple budget centres Delivery of projects on time and within budget. Experience in recruitment, selection and development of staff Duties of this role include: The purpose of the Head of Finance & Administration is to provide finance, administrative and operational support and expertise for the hospital Senior Management Teams, driving a clear understanding of the operational and financial performance of the hospital (revenue, costs and EBITDAR), ensuring that BMI's financial control policies (including approval and authority limits) are followed where relevant, that a disciplined and consistent approach is taken to the management of costs and within-hospital working capital and that all business development and capital proposals are accompanied by a rigorous and commercially astute financial and operational appraisal. The Finance & Administration Manager also is responsible for hospital financial planning and monitoring and ensuring the efficient delivery of support services within the hospital, providing leadership for the effective management of all non-clinical functions Responsible for working with the Executive Director and Director of Clinical Services, to create and deliver the annual strategic and operational plan, driving hospital EBITDA in line with BMI targets.
