Our client is a large business based in the North Yorkshire area. They are currently looking for a new Head of Finance to come in and successfully manage an established accounts team. This is a hands on senior finance job where you will be required to look at all processes within the department, reallocate responsibilities to improve efficiencies where necessary, as well as to train, develop and mentor the staff to excel and make the accounts team extremely proficient and productive, as well as developing financial policies and procedures. You will be coordinating, analysing and reporting on financial performance along with looking at the stock control process; looking at the data to improve their reporting timescales. You will also be managing the budgets and cash flow forecasts, working with the auditors on the year-end audit process as well as overseeing the production and review of the statutory accounts. That's why we are looking for a Head of Finance who has worked at a senior level before either in this position or as a Financial Controller / Finance Director / Finance Manager. Someone who has strong staff management experience who can really develop a team to work to their best. Advanced excel reporting and analysing skills are essential along with being able to look at all of the financial systems and make sure that they are up to date and compliant along with a full understanding of Tax compliance.
