Head of Finance Ops - Birmingham - £45,000 - £55,000 Chase and Holland are excited to be working with an established and expanding company in the Birmingham area recruiting a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance Op's. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and working closely with the senior leadership management team you will support the Managing Director to drive the business forward, helping to shape and deliver its finance strategy and being a genuine business partner. This role will suit someone who is a people person and enjoys getting the most out of themselves and those around them. As the Head of Finance Ops, you will be responsible for: Leading and mentoring your team Driving process improvements and identify opportunities for process automation Representing Finance's voice in key business projects. Coordinating and presenting our annual budgets, five-year plans and updated forecasts Regularly reporting on key efficiency measures Timely Month End closing and cut-off process Preparing Monthly Management & Financial Reports in line with the Board's requirements Ensuring timely and accurate management of accounting operations including invoicing Review the appropriateness, scope, efficiency and effectiveness of Internal Control Systems Reviewing and advising on Capital Expenditure proposals Managing the annual audit of a day-to-day basis, preparing Audit information/schedules and ensure the audit is completed to agreed timescales Key Requirements and Preferences: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 5 years post experience. The ability to implement new process and gain buy-in from stakeholders A genuine desire to coach and mentor the team to help them develop their skills and capability to be the best that they can be Experience of working effectively in a fast-paced office environment Great understanding and managed a system change, knows how to run a system and has a clear idea of what works and what doesn't In return you'll receive: A genuine chance to add value to the business and drive improvements Fantastic company benefits A chance to develop a team of three Get involved at a strategic level
