Finance Business Partner At Gregory Distribution, as a result of continued growth, we have a vacancy for a Finance Business Partner. This role will involve working as part of the finance team from our Head Office in North Tawton, reporting to the Director of Finance, whilst supporting business areas and our other Depots across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to make your own and develop within the business. The position involves: ? Preparing and analysing the weekly flash P&L results and monthly management accounts. ? Coordinating the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process, working closely with the operational manager's, identifying risks and opportunities to the business area's forecast. ? Producing timely and accurate financial reports to support decision making. ? Liaising closely with operational management and presenting financials at business area meetings. ? Developing the business partnering to become an integral part of the Business Unit's management team, with an indirect reporting line to the respective Director. ? Challenging the operational management team on revenue and cost to ensure profit and margin is maximised, and helping drive a culture of continuous improvement. ? Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial people, offering professional judgement. ? Continually refining finance and other business processes to improve efficiency. ? Promoting best practice financial control and governance across the business. ? Assisting with commercial business tenders & appraising capital projects for financial viability and ROI. ? Reconciling balance sheet accounts and maintaining controls/accuracy of the financial systems. Essential skills required: ? Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). ? Demonstrable experience of working within a commercially focused finance environment. ? Previous experience of interaction with senior management within a business. ? Effective communicator, both orally and in writing, with the ability to develop internal and external relationships. ? Strong numeracy skills with a good attention to detail. ? Ability to be self-motivated and work under pressure whilst adhering to strict deadlines. ? IT literate including MS Office. Desirable skills required: ? Previous experience in the distribution and logistics industry. ? Experience of using finance / ERP systems. Why Gregory Distribution? ? Salary of between £35,000 and £40,000 (dependant on experience). ? Standard hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. ? Opportunity to develop your career in a growing business. ?
