Oxford SU is committed to improving the experience for current and future students at the University of Oxford. Day in, day out, our professional staff team support our elected student leaders to achieve positive change. We campaign, we provide services and we deliver a wide range of activities with, and for, students. We facilitate and support a range of student communities including clubs, societies, student media and volunteering. Working with Oxford students is inspiring, and we are busy building a Students' Union that can really help them to achieve their ambitions. Our core values and behaviours are that we are inclusive, we listen, we take action, we challenge, and we adapt. We have been accredited Good within the NUS Quality Students' Union framework. We are also an Investors in People organisation, Green Impact winners, a certified Mindful Employer and an Oxford Living Wage employer. It is an exciting time for Oxford SU. We are in the third year of our strategic plan, and have recently reorganised our staff team. We are now recruiting a Head of Finance and Organisational Effectiveness who can help us prepare for the next stage of our development. The successful candidate will help drive quality across our finance, HR and business systems, and bring best practice and innovation to our organisation. We are looking for an experienced and future-focused finance leader who can analyse and strengthen our systems, processes and culture. Whilst you may already be a senior finance leader, you do not necessarily need to come from a Higher Education or Voluntary Sector background, (although one would be desirable). You must be AAT qualified, or a part qualified chartered accountant and have a strong understanding of the principles of good governance. The role is ideal for somebody that has a strong finance background and is keen to broaden their experience and influence to include HR management, systems and governance. The role provides a unique opportunity for a finance leader to work as part of the senior leadership team to build a culture of excellent management and high performance. If you have an interest in this role, please visit our website to view the full pack and supporting information via the button below. If you have any queries regarding this role or would like to discuss the role, please contact our recruitment partners Atkinson HR Consulting, for a confidential and informal conversation via email. We are diverse and inclusive employer. We're happy to chat about flexible working and would particularly welcome applications for this role from candidates with diverse backgrounds.
