Are you a frustrated Accountant? This was one of the main themes we discussed when talking about the right candidate for this role. We are working with a specialist firm of Corporate Finance Advisers based in Northampton. The term specialist is one often over-used in today's world, it is certainly not out of place defining them. They were established in 1998 and their business model purely focuses on the SME sector. The team believe (quite rightly) a transaction in the SME world is truly a life changing event for the owners. A 'Watershed' moment. Some Corporate Finance roles can be quite similar in style, this one is different to the norm. It's a chance to be a part of something. A chance to make a difference and a chance to earn a very good amount of money. If you're finding your current role isn't giving you the growth, development and opportunity you're after, this can often lead to frustration. If you're experiencing this and now think it's the time to take on more, this could be exactly that. Our client makes sure their people feel valued and rewarding well is a part of their everyday culture. They're offering a very competitive package which includes a % of all fees you make. There is no limit on your upper earnings. There is a clear progression route in place too (which I would be happy to talk through with you on the phone). But in short, there is the opportunity to progress to lead the office where you will earn bonus on a % of the deals the office makes. This opportunity isn't conditional on someone else leaving, that opportunity is becoming available and it's the natural move from this role. You will get a good work-life balance too. Obviously, you will be expected to be around if a client needs you out of hours but as a standard, this is a 9-5 role. THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES When you start as a Partner: The work is interesting, challenging, very commercial and there is no routine. As a Partner you will be responsible for project management throughout the entire deal process. Starting with initial client meetings and deal structuring, to the preparation of financial models and the creation of business plans. This is a totally client facing role. You will be responsible for attracting investors and ensuring a high level of risk management throughout the process When you progress to lead the Northampton office: The work is interesting, challenging, very commercial and there is no routine. As the most senior person in the office you will be responsible for managing an office and helping the partners to complete transactions. You will be in charge of marketing the office and winning new business. You take responsibility for mentoring and developing the partners and getting involved in the most technical or contentious elements of transactions Would you like to hear more about Watersheds or the role? Give either Arran Jaiswal or Ryan Jaiswal at Distinct a call, we've successfully placed with them previously and we can truly bring the opportunity to life. REQUIREMENTS The passion, desire and potential to lead the Northampton office in the future 3 years minimum experience within Corporate Finance or M&A either in industry or practice Distinct Recruitment Privacy Policy
