Robert Walters: Head of Finance - SME Business - Central Birmingham I am currently recruiting for a Head of Finance , on a permanent basis within the Central Birmingham area for a rowing SME Business offering the opportunity for someone to hold an all-encompassing Head of Finance position , the salary for this position is up to £62,000 per annum maximum depending on experience. Please note: It is essential that the ideal candidate is ACA, CIMA or ACCA - Candidate must also have an exceptional knowledge of Payroll processes and ideally come from a small practice background

Salary:
Up to £62,000 per annum Essential Requirements of Head of Finance: Understand Payroll and how it operates as well as having pension knowledge Be able to produce a full set of accounts, understanding accruals and prepayments, as well as submitting self-assessments Knowledge on CT600's, running RTI and intercompany transactions Be able to use Sage and Microsoft Excel and adaptable to new software's Knowledge of VAT and a good understanding of FRV Understand the annual accounting scheme, dealing with HMRC inspections, understanding CIS returns and IR35 Able to manage a team of Managers and a portfolio of companies Come from a practice background - ideally ACA qualified Liaise with the accountants and solicitors with regards to contract and commercial matters Manage recruitment, ppe , payroll, backoffice, accounts, properties, restaurant portfolio Set KPI and SMART Review, polices within the companies, Implementing new income lines and processes for the business Negotiating with suppliers and meeting clients to go through changes Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team alongside of strategic recommendations Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting Advising on long-term business and financial planning Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders Reviewing all formal finance, HR and IT related procedures
