Job Description Summary: The Government Infrastructure Advisory (GIA) Financial Modelling team is a fee earning team, which also supports all other service lines of GIA in designing, developing and reviewing advanced financial models in Project Finance, PPP and corporate finance environments. The team adopts industry-leading best practice standards such as FAST standard and in-house protocols, which have been developed rigorously over the past few years. The team is based out of London Finsbury Square with clients all across the UK. Job Description: Financial models underpin key decisions made by our clients about their business and major projects. The role of the Financial Modelling and Analytics team is to: develop models and analytical tools to help clients understand and analyse a business opportunity or challenge; explore the impact of different funding and commercial structures on key metrics; provide financial model assurance and review services to build confidence in business critical spreadsheets What you'll be doing: contributes to the development of technical knowledge of modelling and accounting within the wider team attends client initiation meetings, prepares project initiation documents and take the lead role in coordinating modelling work streams take the lead on development and delivery of financial modelling component of client projects manage, run and deliver projects proactively manage internal and external client expectations with regard to scope, cost and delivery of client work designs/builds/modifies/reviews financial models across all sectors provided supports the delivery of GIA engagements through high quality financial modelling work prioritises and manages competing projects to deliver high quality work to commercial timeframes actively involved in the development and implementation of the financial modelling team strategy takes the lead in negotiating and adhering to modelling budget for client work Who we're looking for: Experience of build, operation and review of financial models in PFI, Project Finance or Corporate Finance sectors (minimum criteria) experience in building and presenting projected forecast models (minimum criteria) demonstrated ability to deliver to commercial deadlines on multiple assignments simultaneously demonstrated ability to communicate well with colleagues and clients to commercial results for clients commitment to clear, structured modelling techniques Experience of audit of financial models Experience of line management responsibilities (desirable) The time you spend outside of work helps shape what you can bring to our firm.
