This is an exciting opportunity to join our large Reading based European head office as Associate Director of Payroll. Reporting to the Director of Finance EMEA, this role will be responsible for managing the centralised Payroll team with 10 direct reports. Job description: The Associate Director of Payroll has day-to-day responsibility for every aspect of the payroll function, ensuring the successful processing of 36 payrolls for over 4,500 employees. The role provides strong leadership for the payroll team in order to achieve high levels of customer service and ensures payroll policies and procedures are implemented and administered in an effective and consistent way across the payroll team. Other responsibilities of this role will include:
• Manage supplier relationships
• Responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of pay to all employees
• Lead, develop and motivate the payroll team
• Ensure compliance with Data Privacy regulations
• Collaborate with colleagues (HR, Finance, Compensation and Benefits, Employee Share Plan) to ensure effective processes and issue resolution
• Ensure all complaints and incidents are effectively managed
• Act as the subject matter expert on payroll administration driving continuous service improvement and efficiencies
• Lead any changes impacting payroll, through planning and implementation
• Prepare UK payroll journals for SOX compliance
• Ensure Pension processes are complete and are accurate
• Manage and control payroll audits
• To ensure Share Options gains are correctly administered through the payroll Required profile: You are: An experienced payroll leader with an expert knowledge of leading high volume payrolls for a multinational organisation. The role requires someone with strong interpersonal skills to drive internal and external stakeholder relationships. Working as part of a Finance team of over 40 in Reading, the role would suit somebody with experience of working with ADP Here at PRA we want our employees to succeed and ensure that they are set up for this success through constant training, development and support. To enable success in this position you will have:
• Full membership of payroll related profession e.g. CIPP
• In depth, up-to-date knowledge and experience of UK Payroll, Tax, PAYE legislation
• Experienced in vendor management of a third party payroll provider working across multiple jurisdictions
• Experienced in reviewing and implementing payroll process controls and policy governance
• Hands on management skills, confident in training others and able to support the teams development
