Job Description - Global Markets - Head of Equities Regulatory Business Management (0000DFJR)Job Description Global Markets - Head of Equities Regulatory Business Management : 0000DFJR Description Role Title: Global Markets - Director, Head of Equities Regulatory Business Management Business: Global Banking and Markets - Equity COOGCB Grade: 3Role Purpose: The Head of Equities Regulatory Business Management ensures that the Equities activities are adhering to the relevant financial regulations, from a current practice perspective and effectively prepare for new regulations or modifications to existing. The role requires a deep understanding of the existing regulation impacting Equities (eg MIDIF2, MRUD, 871m, 15a6, Volcker...), ability to proactively anticipate new regulations (through market intelligence and other regulatory functions) and their application on our infrastructure & operating model FO to BOKey Accountabilities: 1. Represent Equities in discovery phases of a new regulation- In collaboration with Compliance and Management Office teams, identify relevant regulations that have an impact for Equities, and help in analysing of the in scope activities- Actively communicate the information on new regulation or changes to existing ones to business members, COO team and support functions. 2. Lead Regulatory changes projects with impacts on Equities activities, products and processes- Structure and lead the project teams in charge of the implementation of regulatory changes, or represent Equities in regulatory programs and governance forums. - Ensure that projects are led with relevance to Equity products and processes.- Help identify key stakeholders, and in particular with Regulatory Compliance and IT partners when appropriate.- Centralize for Equities information on progress reports, issues, escalations, and report to Equities senior management to insure that proper actions can be implemented and effective escalation on issues is in place.- Coordinate the Regulatory budget request, for all stakeholders, ensure it is made transparent to senior members of Equities, so appropriate decisions can be taken in terms of funding or resources allocation.- Ensure that standards of rigorous project management are applied. 3. Remediate or Correct implementation issues- When relevant, coordinate post-implementation reviews or remediation action plans.- Ensure that the Operation Risk Framework is continuously updated to include issues and actions related to Regulatory items. 4. Prepare and facilitate regulatory governances or contribute to governances when regulatory topics are relevant- Facilitate on behalf of Equities senior business leads to regulatory forums and governances, when relevant.- Ensure that forums have rigorous supporting document and minutes, to ensure traceability of decision making process.- Escalate to senior management issues identified both in project mode or production, and ensure that escalations are also operated within the appropriate governances. 5. Perform controls and analysis, or ensure that controls are implemented, that are driven by regulatory requirements- Identify all controls or supervisory duties linked to a regulatory element, both in the day to day operations of the business or in project mode. Ensure that the operating model is defined, documented and approved.- When dealing with FO owned controls or Supervision, collaborate with Equities Control Office to validate how the control is/will be operated, help define metrics and control process.- When dealing with a non-FO Owned control, ensure that there is documented commitment on the operation of the control that escalation mechanism are in place in terms of anomaly detection to Supervision or Control Office, and supported with clear indicators.- In collaboration with the Equities Control Office, ensure that the Equities Risks and Controls Assessment are up to date. 6. Manage ad-hoc regulatory requests- Coordinate, for Equities, the analysis and answer to requests coming from regulators, and act as a point of contact for Central teams or Regulatory Compliance teams in charge of the discussion with Regulators.- When needed, perform analysis, document Equities position or propositions, in order to support the answer to the request.- Ensure that proper sign off is obtained from Equities senior management. 7. Drive and Maintain policies and procedures that are regulatory related- In collaboration with Control Office, ensure that all policies related to a regulatory requirements are known and abided by. Be a point of contact for Global Policy advisory Forum when the involved policy is driven by a regulatory agenda.- Whenever necessary, ensure that the appropriate guideline is in place, in particular in the Desk Instruction Manual, or take care of updating and communicating the change when necessary. 8. Actively collaborate with all stakeholders impacted by Regulatory change- Within Equities, be a partner of choice for Business Management and Control Office, in order to efficiently collaborate. - Beyond Equities, effectively collaborate with other asset classes, and with all support functions, in all regions. - Champion the regulatory topic for Equities in Transformation and Strategic Programs. 9. Manage the Equity Regulatory Team- Manage the book of work and consequently the pool of resources in accordance with Regulatory priorities and skillsets.- Continuously develop the knowledge acquired by of all team members and ensure convergence of practices across the locations of the global team.Impact on the Business: The Head of Equities Regulatory Business Management is the main point of contact for regulatory matters for the Business Leads, in particular for the follow up of all regulatory initiatives and governances. Customers / Stakeholders The Head of Equities Regulatory Business Management interacts with all support functions and risk stewards of Equities in the day to day operations of the regulatory agenda, as well as in project mode.Leadership & Teamwork The Head of Equities Regulatory Business Management manages, within the Global Equities COO Office, and as such must actively collaborate with all team members and demonstrate team spirit.Operational Effectiveness & Control The Head of Equities Regulatory Business Management role is mainly to ensure that the business is developing in compliance with Regulations and as such plays an important role in the protection of our customers, the markets we operate on, and the bank, to ensure that financial regulations are understood and applied. He also effectively collaborate with the Global Equities Control Office, to ensure that the Operational Risk framework and Supervision norms are respected, and that relevant controls are in place.Role ContextManagement of Risk

• Academic training in Finance, Business, Political Sciences or Engineering
• Professional written and verbal command of English
• Previous experience working in Business Management / COO functions, Audit, Business Analysis, Structuring or Compliance,
• Very good knowledge of Equity products,
