Permanent Assistant Commercial Manager Recruitment Agency reference: 6893190 We are currently working with a very highly regarded Public Sector organisation based in Cambridge on the appointment of an Assistant Commercial Manager to work hand in hand with their Estates Department overseeing and managing maintenance contracts. Reporting directly into the Commercial Manager the successful candidate will have knowledge and experience dealing with procurement and tendering for maintenance and estates contracts. This is a permanent, full time opportunity and is offering £30,000 - £39,000 per annum depending on experience. Your duties will include: Ensure all maintenance contracts are timely tendered and awarded Deal with a variety of contract types and values (c.£50K - £1.7M) Assist the Commercial Manager in ensuring contract management processes and procedures are adhered to Provide advice to Managers and assist in tendering and management of contracts and frameworks Ensure tenders and contracts comply with financial regulations Deliver value for money, compliance and reliability to servicing and maintenance for the estate whilst reducing risk The successful candidate should have: You must have experience within procurement and tendering You ideally will have worked within an estates procurement role previously or have a strong understanding NEC3 or JCT contract knowledge will be advantageous but not essential This would be an ideal role for a candidate who is keen to work within the Public Sector and ready to play a senior role within an Estates Procurement and contracts team.
