Bookkeeper - Regional Firm of Accountants, Lincoln The Role Our client is a regional firm of Chartered Accountants and business advisors. As a result of ongoing success and growth within the firm, the business are looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to work within their Lincoln office. Duties and Responsibilities Working within a highly supportive team environment, the role of Bookkeeper will manage all aspects of client bookkeeping needs, duties will include : Preparation of client bookkeeping using either Sage, Xero or Excel Prepare quarterly VAT Returns Maintain and update manual and computer records Assist with resolving any relevant client queries Build and develop relationship with core bookkeeping clients Reconciliation of key control accounts such as bank, sales ledger and purchase ledger Work to be undertaken in office and at client premises Skills and Qualities The successful applicant will be an experienced bookkeeper who can work unsupervised, ideally with experience working from within a firm of accountants. Individuals will have an excellent I.T skills including strong working knowledge of Sage, Microsoft Office, Word and Excel, experience of using cloud based software such as Xero or Quickbooks will also be a distinct advantage. Applicants will ideally be AAT qualified or qualified by experience with a minimum of 4 year's experience. The role will be based within the firms Lincoln office, but will also include working at client premises from time to time, it is therefore essential that applicants drive and have the use of their own vehicle.
