Role Overview This engineering analyst role is responsible for financial oversight on multiple Head-up Display development programs. This individual is a key member of the program triad and primary tasks include project setup, budgeting, reporting and analysis. Directly supports engineering spend planning activities and quarterly EAC reviews. Provides financial guidance and recommendations to program teams. Primary Responsibilities Financial responsibility for multiple programs by monitoring and reporting performance to ensure the contractual, budget and schedule objectives are met. Develops cost and schedule plans to meet contractual/project requirements and align to schedule plans for moderate to large complex programs. Performs analysis and prepares reports in order to ensure that projects are within approved cost and scope parameters and communicates timely requests for additional funding to the appropriate functional representative(s). Good understanding and utilization of Earned Value Management practices and procedures, which includes system tool usage of SAP, Cobra, ISAT and Microsoft products. Preparation and presentation of quarterly contract estimates at completion (EAC) to ensure the accuracy of the programs engineering sales, spend and cash flow forecasts for larger more complex program(s). Support LCVSM in presenting to the controller. Prepare and analyze inputs for engineering sales and spend, and milestone billing forecasts, and perform same effort for Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP). Provide variance analysis of engineering sales and spend, schedule and milestone billing forecast in comparison to prior and plan. Perform same effort for AOP/LRP. Identify, quantify and communicate risks and opportunities to management. Consults and influences program team regarding solutions to complex financial problems within the terms of financial policies, practices and procedures. Networks and collaborates effectively within a cross function program team, including engineering, operations and program management. Qualifications This position requires a Bachelors degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
