Role Summary/Purpose Africa is the worlds fastest-growing regions in Baker Hughes, a GE company, as economic reports predict acceleration in growth, the sustainability of this growth is becoming an increasingly pressing issue. Essential Responsibilities The SSA Accounts Director demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning and contribute to the overall business The successful candidate shall be the key regional point of contact for independent oil companies who are based in the UK and Europe, and will coordinate a large multi-functional contingent to establish and maintain effective relations with key internal function as well as external stakeholders in Sub-Saharan Africa including our direct customers, Suppliers and government agencies. On key sales opportunities Specify critical resource needs required to meet business objectives; Develop customer strategies, campaign plans, and leadership in their execution; Integrate information, resources, and activities within the region and/or among global region; Support customer satisfaction evaluation, plans, and follows through Develop influential relationships with assigned customers at all levels and develop strategies to win profitable business from those customers Integrate and lead the technical support team, including contracts, finance, product support, and others in the implementation of customer strategies Provide specific account leadership, plans, and actions to assure that BHGE wins profitable business and services sales within the assigned countries and customers Build customer relationships for the purpose of Business development and Sales Structure and implement a robust stakeholder management strategy. Lead on the preparation and organization of yearly/quarterly presentations to key stakeholders Ensure that in every engagement with government BHGEs local content message is appropriately communicated Engagement structure that goes beyond personal relationships, ensuring effects are durable Local content message delivered in a targeted manner, using appropriate platforms relevant for identified stakeholders and ensuring consistency across the business Qualifications/Requirements University Degree. Masters qualification is an added advantage Extensive familiarity and experience interfacing with Sub-Saharan O&G industry players, including international and local O&G operators as well as government regulatory agencies In-depth understanding of the Oil and Gas regulatory frame work in Sub-Saharan Africa Excellent presentation and communication skills Demonstrated ability to develop influential customer relationships, plans, sales strategies, presentations and proposals Strong interpersonal and leadership skills In-depth understanding of the assigned products and their application to the industry Job Sales Primary Location Europe-United Kingdom-Greater London-LONDON
