With the opportunity to be one of two financial accountants in the team, this role is going to play a key part in the smooth and collaborative running of the finance function. Main Responsibilities Work collaboratively with the other financial accountant to ensure that all monthly financial reports are produced in a timely manner, bringing together the work done by the finance team. Establish and manage monthly reconciliation of balance sheet items and action on any and all journal queries. Create and maintain appropriate documentation to support with audits. Play a key role in the development of the two Finance Assistants that this role supervises. This role reports into the newly appointed Group Finance Director and as well as contributing to the team as a whole, this role will look to take the lead for the finance system and controlling all future changes/ queries regarding it. This is a fantastic opportunity also to develop your skills in managing people, even if you have no experience of doing so already. The successful candidate will have: An accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.). Previous experience of working within the non-for-profit sector (desirable). One of two backgrounds: An experienced Financial Accountant, looking for their next step. A recently qualified finance professional, looking to make there first move into industry.
