Our client is a leading edge, international PE backed group with its Head Office in London. Since it was established 10 years ago it has built an enviable market position for the highest level of service and expertise. They are poised for further substantial growth both organic and by acquisition, with plans to open further offices internationally. Reporting to the COO, they now seek to recruit a new Group Financial Controller to join the high-quality team. The role will suit an ambitious individual who has had previous senior level experience as a Controller/Head of Finance and is aiming at CFO. A balance of strategic, commercial and detail driven skills are required with a true focus on delivering value. Responsibilities will include: Continue to evolve the vision for Finance and deliver and lead a best-in-class Group finance capability, ensuring the systems and processes are in place to provide strong internal controls and an efficient and effective finance department; Supervision, support and management of three direct reports and lead a process of continuous improvement; Continue to develop the recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics (Navision) system to ensure in provides high quality information and meets audit requirements; Preparation of forecasts and budgets and updates of the budget model, to include reforecasting and variance analysis; Closely manage the cash and treasury function: including multi-currency cash flow forecasting, intercompany funding, bank accounts, FX and ensure a well-managed Credit Control function; Undertake due diligence and integrations of future acquisitions; Responsibility for the completion of month end reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations and producing the Group Reporting Pack; Intercompany and group transaction processes, monthly reconciliation and agreement of intercompany accounts; Consolidation of the monthly reporting packs; KPI reporting and analysis of metrics that cross entities and geographical regions; Management of operational financial risk; Statutory reporting and oversee the annual audit process, tax and other regulatory reporting processes; Monitor and model forward visibility of covenant compliance and other obligations under financing arrangements. Experience/Qualifications Educated to degree level with professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with 5 years PQE in industry; Previous experience running a finance team and partnering with the business; Ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Navision or similar accounts package; Preferable experienced in a multi-site professional services environment or SME with hands on experience including intercompany and multi-currency; Experience of mentoring and developing staff, with the ability and desire to progress to a CFO role; Excellent communicator and good team and leadership skills, with ability to build close relationships with colleagues, directors and key stakeholders; Well-developed ability and experience of working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
