Part Qualified Accountant Position An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part Qualified Accountant to join a long established and well regarded South West firm of Chartered Accountants in Taunton. Are you ICAEW part qualified, ACCA part-qualified or an AAT level 4 trainee? If you are successful for the position of Part Qualified Accountant you would have the opportunity to study at an ACCA Platinum Approved Training Practice, which provides full financial study support, an in-house mentoring system and assists in the development of essential skills and commercial awareness. You will be required to produce full accounts for review by, and reporting to, a qualified individual and to have knowledge of completing and submitting tax returns and VAT returns. Role & Responsibilities As a part qualified accountant, you will be undertaking, assisting with and learning in detail how to: " Prepare period end financial statements for companies, partnerships, sole-traders and LLPs " Prepare period end tax returns including corporation tax, partnership and personal tax " Bookkeeping and VAT reporting " Liaise with H M Revenue & Customs " Develop knowledge of various accounting software packages and keeping up to date with various packages " Direct client interaction to ensure accounts are finalised in a timely manner For the position of Part Qualified Accountant, you will be offered a competitive salary as well as performance bonuses, financial support through study periods covering all costs towards examinations including tuition/revision courses, time off for study, exams and revision courses, registration fees, study materials and examination entry fees, contributions to a pension scheme. Key Requirements " A minimum of 2 A Levels (A-C) and 3 GCSE`s (A-C or 9-5) including maths " ICAEW part qualified, ACCA part-qualified or hold an AAT level 4 " A keen interest in accountancy, where the A level subjects studied did not pertain to accountancy, business or finance " A high standard of ethics, both professional and personal " Keen to work in an individual performance driven business (and be rewarded accordingly) " Able to work well in a successful and busy team " Good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
