THE OPPORTUNITY: A successful local legal firm have a fantastic opportunity available within their Finance function. The accounts assistant will be working with the accountant, purchase ledger clerk, and sales ledger clerk to ensure all accounts are produced in a timely manner. Company is situated in Nottingham city centre. THE ROLE & YOUR
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting with Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger - Producing monthly bank reconciliations. - Online banking - Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns, including partial exemption VAT. - Assisting with monthly payroll - Assisting other members of the company as necessary with accounts related queries. - To support the Accounts Manager with ad-hoc tasks for the general financial management of the business. EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE: - Ideally AAT qualified/qualified by experience - Significant experience within an accounts department - Competent user of Excel - Good knowledge of VAT - Methodical and organised in approaching varying workloads - High level of accuracy and efficiency with good attention to detail - Strong team player with excellent communication skills - Legal experience or qualifications or accreditations essential Macildowie is a specialist recruitment consultancy with a rich history of enhancing the careers of professionals across the Midlands and the Northern Home Counties.
