A consumer focussed business based in the Portsmouth area is recruiting a Financial Controller to manage the finance team responsible for the production of the statutory and management accounts. A key focus of the role will be improving processes and controls across the business so someone with an audit background would be particularly relevant. Reporting to the Head of Finance the main responsibilities of the Financial Controller include:- Production of the monthly management accounts including variances and commentary Production of the statutory accounts including being the key point of contact with the external auditors Maintaining and improving financial controls and processes Financial systems development and management Team management, development and motivation The successful candidate is likely to be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with demonstrable experience in a similar role or someone looking to make the step up in to their first Financial Controller role either in industry already or straight from practice at manager level.
