We are looking for someone to join our team to lead the delivery of sophisticated statistical models into the business covering a maternity absence. You may wish to apply as a direct cover for the role as is, or alternatively for a shorter contract period supporting us in the delivery of a particular piece of work. Flexible working or Part time As British Insurance Awards winners of General Insurer and Commercial Lines Insurer of the Year, this role is a great opportunity to work in one of the UK's top insurance businesses in a team that is growing and establishing new best practices in Commercial pricing. We are building our Commercial Lines Pricing capability and the team is responsible for the technical pricing and statistical modelling of a diverse portfolio of insurance products, including fleet and commercial P&C insurance, in order to support the Underwriting function in achieving its business and technical goals. As a Technical Pricing manager you will be leading delivery of sophisticated statistical models used to drive commercial decisions, developing our analytical capabilities, managing multiple priorities and communicating with a wide range of stakeholders. Key responsibilities will include: Leading development and delivery of appropriate technical pricing models Responsibility for ensuring technical components delivered meet Allianz Group Technical Excellence standards and enable our Pricing capabilities to become 'certified'. Provide training, direction and technical reviews to analysts within the team, with the possibility of line management responsibility Clear communication to stakeholders including technical concepts, project work Regular interaction and collaboration with other teams including IT, finance and actuarial and underwriting account teams Support work in the team including adhoc pricing analysis and reports Note that a shorter term contract is available specifically for supporting the preparation and delivery of material/analysis in readiness for a Global Certification review. Skills and Experience: To be a success in this role, you will have some experience in a similar role as well as the following: Educated to degree level in a numerate discipline or equivalent experience Appropriate professional qualifications preferred such as Actuarial and / or CII Experience working on cross team/department projects to achieve a common goal Strong analytical and statistical experience including GLMs Confident with analytics tool including Emblem, programming languages (particularly SAS), Excel etc. Experience and understanding of Commercial Lines insurance and products Experience coaching and developing analysts within a team What can Allianz offer you: A competitive salary which is reviewed annually, A generous pension plan Competitive holiday allowance that increases with length of service, with the option of buying and selling up to 5 days holiday per year Share purchase plan Flexible benefits plan, giving the option to tailor benefits (such as dental insurance and private medical care) to suit individual needs Excellent training and development opportunities
