Key responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant job will include: Assist and ensure accurate and timely payments Own & reconcile the bank account/cash book, including writing and banking cheques Maintain and reconcile petty cash Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records Input salary expenses, mileage and commissions Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g. disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable) Complete monthly, quarterly returns Ensure Accurate accounting for VAT, subcontractors tax and CITB payments as appropriate Assist in ad hoc projects, tasks and reports as and when required The ideal Purchase Ledger Clerk will possess the following attributes/skills: Knowledge and experience of COINS Excellent attention to detail Ability to work to tight deadlines Strong reconciliation, mathematical and organisational skills required This is an excellent opportunity for a Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant to join a young and vibrant team within a busy team.
