My client, based near Ripon , are a successful and progressive business who operates throughout the UK and Europe. An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Accounts Manager to manage the day to day operations of the Accounts Department and to assist the Finance Director in financial reporting, performance analysis, HR and general office support. A thorough knowledge of accounts is essential, preferably using Sage software, and candidates must be trained to AAT level 4 and should be studying towards CIMA or ACCA. The successful candidate will be required to oversee three additional members of staff and oversee the following workload. Sales Ledger, including: Month end invoicing Credit control Revaluations Cash flow forecasts Payment reconciliations Purchase Ledger, including: Month end Approving sub-contractor invoices Sterling and Euro Cheque runs Maintaining fixed asset register Bank reconciliation Petty cash reconciliation VAT Returns Payroll Oversees VAT claims IT support You should have a good understanding of the duties described above and will be required to supervise the day to day running of the department by using your skills and initiative. Working hours are 9am - 5. 30pm . Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
