One of our clients a world renowned organisation are currently looking to hire an interim FP&A strategic manager on a longer term contract basis. This role is due to last for a period of 12 months based in their Woking head office. Develop strategic financial modelling to assess potential business opportunities Conduct horizon scanning to identify potential financial opportunities Design and implement an appropriate business case template for financial investments that includes due diligence approach covering investment appraisal process, return on investment, SWOT analysis, post implementational review, benefits realisation etc. Support Director Finance Initiatives leading implementation of current Funding Model work Analyse overall funding model implementation impact to identify opportunities for further strengthening of financial sustainability. Including developing a complex financial model Work in partnership with Executive Team colleagues to develop and assess financial implications of new potential initiatives, providing appropriate enabling guidance and support Develop Ad Hoc tools for analysis to support business challenges and opportunities for National Organisations and Country Offices, as and when needed. Collaboration with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and other functions, benchmark country office performance internally, to identify opportunities to adjust country operating models through effectiveness and efficiency improvements Support with financial analysis and modelling for merger and acquisition opportunities as they arise and contribute to financial due diligence of any being proposed. In partnership with Head of Financial Capability and Learning and Development colleagues develop appropriate training as part of the Finance Transformation for strategic financial analytical skills in trainee schemes, for Finance colleagues and non- finance colleagues Key Candidate Criteria Finance background (ICAEW/CIMA/ACCA/MBA/relevant Masters/PHD essential) Strong project management and organization skills to manage multiple work streams and meet deadlines Has a passion for data-driven, evidence-based decision-making, with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills - able to tackle unstructured/undefined problems and create/apply strategic frameworks and models to solve and provide insights Experienced use of analytic tools, approaches and models Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including sufficient political credibility to work across all layers in the organization, including senior leadership Experience of working in different countries, including the developing world, and as such possess knowledge and understanding of the context, culture and financial capacity within these settings. Being impact-focused, you have a bias for action. Persistent and relentless driver of change - strong ability to persuade, follow-up and keep initiatives moving along, willingness to call out when things are not going well / right.
