This role is an ideal for someone looking to gain a broad range of experience in international reporting, taxation and balance sheet reconciliations. It is a hands on role that will appeal to a hard working self-starter with initiative and able to set own priorities and adapt to a changing international compliance landscape. A typical week could include: Completion of international VAT and withholding tax returns and PAYE submissions Assisting with the completion of corporation tax return for international entities Liaison with UK and international colleagues, foreign tax authorities and third-party advisors Providing assistance with ad hoc tax compliance work Assisting with branch registrations and closures as required Completion of balance sheet reconciliations and assistance with wider balance sheet control outside of international accounts Annual preparation of cost forecasting for budget purposes and communication of such with business finance Identification of areas for improvement in efficiency and process of tasks Assisting with preparation of annual statutory financial statements for international branches The above tasks are to be carried out within agreed deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders. We'd love to hear from you if you have: An accountancy qualification (part qualified) training under IFRS Experience in international accounting is preferred but not essential Experience operating within a large finance department Strong attention to detail and a flexible enthusiastic approach Proven ability to work well as part of a team Experience with performing balance sheet reconciliations with an understanding of their purpose and investigating differences Microsoft Excel & Outlook. Some experience of finance systems (Unit 4 Business World desirable but not essential) Highly motivated, flexible, enthusiast, organised and committed attitude Accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness.
