Finance Business Analyst - up to £35,000 DOE pension - Dorchester, Dorset The Role We are looking for a capable and skilled Finance Business Analyst to join our team. Analysis, data modelling and data visualisation is key to this role so you will be comfortable handling large volumes of data and producing in-depth analysis and reporting, as well as extracting and manipulating large datasets, pivoting data and writing complex formulae. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with commercial acumen coupled with good judgement, with potential work from home opportunities post probation. This role will work with finance, commercial and operational teams across the business and would suit someone qualified by experience, graduate or part qualified ACCA/CIMA individual with ambition to grow their career in a commercially focused position. The key responsibilities of a Finance Business Analyst include, but are not limited to:
• Supporting the monthly preparation of Financial MI to track progress of strategic objectives against KPI's, budgets and forecasts
• Supporting the commercial team with client financial analysis, data cleansing, categorisation and presentation
• Implement and monitor monthly and quarterly financial/client reporting processes to ensure timely dissemination and collection of financial information
• Being responsible for the preparation and maintenance of key reports and dashboards
• Assisting in the preparation of financial information for meetings and company presentations
• Collecting and managing data to create a 'Data Lake' that enables the operational team to easily benchmark projects
• Acting as the interface between the business and technical staff, specifically supporting the ongoing Software Development programme (as part of this you will be expected to analyse data, prepare, plan and support testing and assist with the transition to business as usual)
• Providing sales reporting to the business and senior management with value adding insight, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvement

The Person The key skills and qualities of a Finance Business Analyst:
• CIMA or ACCA part qualified but not essential if qualified by experience; previous 2-3 years' experience in similar finance analyst role preferable
• Has commercial acumen, attention to detail, critical thinking skills and meticulousness in work; is numerate with excellent data analysis skills and good process mapping skills
• Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint and database skills (Power BI, Tableau or similar preferable and SQL would be of interest; experience of Xero is a plus)
• An organised multitasker, able to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines, while achieving results, in a fast-paced and high-growth environment
• Structures work to achieve best outputs and responds positively to problems and uses them as an opportunity to do things differently or better Familiarity with P&L, Balance Sheet, budgeting and forecasting; multiple platform data analysis; strong interpersonal and decision-making skills; and a background of working within an agile environment are highly desirable.
