Our Client, a leading, independent firm of Chartered Accountants are looking for an In-House Financial Controller to join their expanding team. The role will involve being responsible for managing the finance and accounting operations. You will also be supervising and reviewing the work of staff and dealing with debtor management, creditors management, WIP management, management of bank accounts, preparing internal payroll, management accounts, annual financial accounts, VAT, compliance, making tax digital, budgets and cashflows. You will also develop business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls and liaise with all levels of staff, management and other organisations. You will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience and either worked as an in-house Accountant in practice or in commerce. You will also possess excellent communications skills, as well as being highly organised, with strong attention to detail and able to act and operate independently. A good working knowledge of Xero, Sage Line 50 and Excel is essential and some experience of IRIS would also be an advantage.
