The Role Lead Brokers to deliver a differentiated client experience and broking excellence Increase use of Structured Solutions in the interest of the clientDevelop solutions that are aligned to the Group's segmentation strategyEnsure clear understanding in the business of FINMAR carrier regarding (re)insurer appetite, commerciality and serviceOwn Risks and Controls (applicable to Broking) within the Risk & Controls Assessment (RACA) and assess these to review continued likelihood, significance, impact and identify new risks (Owned by RACA FINEX?)Meet contractual obligations and KPI's for any Market Derived Income and insurer ServicesManage Market Derived Income budget (MDI) within Line of BusinessPromote and protect all approved forms of Market Derived Income Collate and report client Opt Out decisions / reasons to Head of Market Derived Income & Head of Broking Owned by FINMARInformed understanding of Market Derived Income performance, activity and variancesCommunicate Broking strategy to Brokers Set objectives consistent with the objectives of the Head of Line of Business Broking the CRB GB Head of Broking Support career development plansIdentify and maintain knowledge of Broking talent Promote Inclusion & Diversity Adherence to group controls & procedures Liaison with FINMAR to review and record market appetite Adherence to Market Security policies and procedures Use of PPL for target volume of Quotes and Firm OrdersEscalate placement/claims issues to the CRB Head of BrokingReport complaints or E&Os in line with Group policyAct professionally and in keeping with Group policy when entering or undertaking co-broking activitiesMake placement decisions that are considerate of broader group strategy and strategic relationshipsHelp define, scope and review data & technology requirements and engage with technology throughout the design, implementation and rollout processActively contribute to successful execution of Carrier Management Partnership & Trading initiatives and agreed strategic Business Development initiativesSeek out, qualify & share market intelligence, insight and industry newsLead regular Broker meetings, document minutes/actionsPromote new ideas via IDEAS XpressCall out and report inappropriate behaviour and conduct both within and outside the company at the time it happensDirect reporting to: Head of Line of Business & CRB GB Head of Broking (including objective setting and performance review)Direct reports: Finmar Global Leader Matrix reports: Line of Business Broking LeadersMember of Line of Business Executive and GB Broking ExecutiveThe Requirements Educated to a degree, or MBA level (or country equivalent)Professional qualifications such as ACII or similar country equivalent, or relevant industry experienceExtensive knowledge of the insurance market and ability to understand potential conflicts of interest in CRB activityAbility to demonstrate evidence of a highly professional and credible approach across the broking market community, resulting in an understanding of client and technical issues and capability to solveExceptional communication, negotiation and influencing skillsExcellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of developing peopleExcellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence within a matrix environmentStrong facilitation skills - able to use inclusive and collaborative styles to manage ambiguity and gain agreementAbility to act as an ambassador for the CompanyHigh levels of business and financial acumen with an understanding of company strategy and change managementEqual Opportunity EmployerJob ID: 190003BAEmployment Type: Full-timeJob Area: OperationsFunction: Operations GeneralIndustry: Consulting Services
