Global Medicines Development, GMD, is accountable for the delivery of all late stage programs. GMD is accountable to take molecules from the early Science units to market and also to drive and deliver life cycle management programs.In this TAFD's role, you will play a critical role in supporting delivery of the TA strategy driving both prioritisation and resource allocation. You will support the effectiveness of the overall TA Franchise being responsible for strategic financial advice, insightful guidance and true leadership that will help drive business performance. You will drive strong financial leadership partnering both the TA VPs in GTA's and to the GMED Heads in GMD.As part of the Respiratory Therapeutic area you will support a portfolio that is AstraZeneca's next generation of inhaled and biologic products in both asthma and COPD.The TA FD roles will report into Head of GPPS Finance.This includes the following

responsibilities:
Business partner support to TAVP's and GMED HeadsTA FDs are Core members of TA Commercial LT, TA GMD LT and TALT.Provide finance leadership to the TA in prioritisation across investment opportunities and deciding on resource allocation (working with the Portfolio team)Finance governance for investment decisions (with support from Projects Finance in GMD and BD Finance in GPPS)Strategic budget management of TA GMD External costs with Core TALT membersLead Finance process for TA strategy, LRP and give leadership on TA P&LAssessment and review of Brand & P&L performance (with support from the Business Insight team) on monthly and QBRs basisDelivery of Post Deal Management responsibilitiesSupport ad hoc projectsBudget management for GMD Functional cost & GPPS TA (with support from the COE)Minimum Requirements - Education and Experience:The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:An enterprise mindset and strong understanding of the key commercial drivers of a businessA strategic focus but able to switch to work at a detailed level Significant pharmaceutical finance experience in Commercial roles both at a market and region levelExperience of support the launch of new pharmaceutical NME's in a country/regionExecutive presence with well-developed influencing skills including the ability to influence at the most senior levelDemonstration career progression in global/Blue chip international companies with experience of working in different geographical regionsAbility to handle ambiguity (both role and organisational) and thrive in this unchartered territoryProven track record of operating in an environment where success is delivered through leveraging deployed resourcesA significant passion and drive to succeed, with effective project management and planning skills, and a 'completer/finisher' mindsetOutstanding commercial acumen, underpinned by robust numerical skills.
