THE ROLE: My client requires a graduate with a keen interest in finance and accounting and c.1 YEAR experience in industry, either as part of your degree studies or after graduating. You should be enthusiastic, energetic, keen to learn and with excellent communication skills and a grounding in accounts. In this role you will quickly become part of a professional and motivated finance team in a corporate and sometimes complex environment but as such you will learn quickly and set yourself up well for future personal and career development. THE PERSON: The successful candidate will have: - A degree in accounting or a related subject. - c.1 YEAR experience in a finance, accounting or closely related role either during your studies or after graduating. - Strong IT capability and some systems knowledge from you work experience, ideally including reporting and analysis tools. - Excellent internal and external communication skills verbally and in writing. - Ability to work as part of a team but also autonomously at times. - A positive, active approach to learning, self-motivation in finding solutions and solving problems. - Ideally you will have gained an appreciation of some or all of : month end reporting, balance sheet reconciliation, VAT, taxation, fixed asset reporting.
