Overview As the Group Finance Director you will be joining an established company, with operations in 5 countries, regular sales to 18 countries throughout the world. The company was acquired by private equity and has growth aspirations centered around a newly developed product range. Reporting and working directly with the Managing Director you will be responsible for all the financial strategy, activities and resources to achieve profitable and stable growth in line with the business plan. Key objectives Contribute to Board decision making in formulating the company's future direction, supporting tactical initiatives, and monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans Present business performance, outlook, risks / opportunities to the executive team and investors, and determine necessary actions Oversee the issuance of statutory and management financial information including budgets, forecasts etc., providing the requisite amount of analysis, rigor, and challenge. Identify areas for operational efficiency within the finance team, especially through the use of company's new ERP system. Partner with non-finance teams to develop cost control and critique overall business processes to improve quality and cost performance. Candidate Profile Requirements The selected candidate will have proven track record in senior finance roles. He/she will be a degree educated and have a considerable amount of technical knowledge, combining attention to detail with superb analytics. Qualified Account (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience. Strong system / IT skills with a strong understanding of ERP systems, and the vision and determination to implement system improvement projects. Personal characteristics The individual must be driven to deliver results and own the assigned problems. A completer / finisher not satisfied with simply moving a project forward. A good team player able to motivate his/her own team and collaborate effectively with other teams in the company. Be both hands on and able to see the broader picture. Able to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to demonstrate confidence and gravitas working at board level.
