ROLE PROFILE Assistant Management Accountant What is the role? As a commercially driven Assistant Management Accountant, you will support all areas of financial activity for the Westcoast product pillars. You will work closely with Business Managers to maximise profitability within operational and sales activities. This is a broad and commercially driven finance role, with the opportunity to influence the business and make an impact on processes that will improve efficiency and maximise profit. Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders is key, you will be a confident communicator able to manage stakeholders from all levels of the business. This would suit an analytical finance professional, with a confident customer facing approach who is committed to their professional development and progression within finance. We are able to provide sponsorship for ACA, CIMA or ACCA. Key Responsibilities Responsible for revenue, margin (Front End, Back end), customer rebates, and operational costs. Work closely with Product Managers to maximise profitability. Responsible for supporting Product/Sales to deliver and report of weekly revenue and margin numbers. Validation and justification of month end product margins. Ownership of PO margin and revaluation analysis. Creation and publication of monthly product reports. Manipulation of large data sets within excel and Power BI in order to generate insight Validation of customer rebate accruals and vendor product claims. Daily interaction with various stakeholders and fully understand the importance of Business Partnering Liaising with external auditors. Is this the role for you? To be successful in this role you will have some of the following skills and experience and the desire to develop in other areas: Part qualified accountant and working towards full qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) Proactive commercially minded individual with excellent communication skills Able to communicate at all levels, articulate issues with clarity and affect change Advanced Excel skills Self-motivated, self-starter, proactive and able to work under pressure independently and as part of a team Able to challenge existing practices and make recommendations to improve activity Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to develop strong business relationships What will we do for you?
