Financial Analyst role paying up to £30k + study support for a global manufacturing business in Nottingham

A leading manufacturing business that specialises in the design and manufacturing of safety equipment is seeking a bright and analytically driven candidate to join their office in Nottingham. The business has a global presence with operations in US, China, Norway, Germany, Middle East and Italy with a turnover of $100m and is still going from strength to strength.
Your new role
Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you will be responsible for providing financial and commercial analysis of business data. You will be required to create a variety of business report to analyse certain aspects that could effect business operations such as pricing, product lines, materials, sales, differences in sales according to destinations. You will also be required to conduct competitor analyst and will be reporting back on pricing, discounting, product portfolio and financials. Alongside this, you will support the business with ad hoc reporting and analysis.
What you'll need to succeed
The FP&A Manager is looking for a commercially driven, analytically focused individual who is able to use their own initiative to support the business. In terms of experience, you will have previously worked in an analytical role and ideally have exposure to pricing analysis, commercial analysis or some form of business analysis. Although you do not need to have a core finance background, you must be comfortable with aspects of financial analysis and financial implications on the business. You must be comfortable using Excel on a daily basis for a variety of reporting. Ideally your MS Excel skills will be macro level advanced but if not, you will need to be comfortable with high levels of data manipulation. It is not essential for you to be studying towards ACCA/CIMA/AAT but the company will support the right candidate further in this field. It will be a huge bonus if you have previous experience working within manufacturing/retail.
