Financial Controller (6 month contract) - ( 1900037M ) The Financial Controller will support M&E leadership (Local & Global) with all finance related matters and with direct involvement in M&E financial decisions, planning and analysis. He/ She will co-ordinate finance activities with other Finance departments (Financial Controlling, FP&A, Costing / Pricing & Legal) as well as facilitate interactions between M&E Operations Support team and Finance Ops team in Potters Bar around commission tracking, back office processes and credit control. Financial Planning and Analysis Develop business planning and forecasting strategies/processes for Meetings & Events UK&IE & Benelux and ensure these are aligned with business objectives to achieve the growth & profitability goals Provide financial advice and support to members of the M&E Management team. Produce KPI reports for Meetings & Events UK & IE & Benelux Ensure control of all services margins on a monthly basis and ensure consistency between Cvent and WINGS (in-house M&E and Finance systems) Ensure timely (monthly) book close & accuracy in coordination with UK&IE FP&A Director and final sign off with CFO and M&E Director. Input in the development of M&E policies and procedures in co-ordination with Global/Regional M&E Finance and UK&IE Finance management. Provide direction to the accounting function in the application of M&E related accounting practices in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards, generally accepted accounting principles and company accounting policies. Budget responsibility and Finance planning & analysis accountability for M&E Ad hoc finance analysis and projects as requested by the head of M&E or CFO Other Finance responsibilities Support & coordinate M&E pricing and costing activities with central pricing where necessary Work closely with the commercial organization to support pricing and large project pitches Produce reports for the commercial team where necessary on client profitability, targets, kpis etc. Review credit status and risk with the credit control department and develop credit policies adequate to UK&IE credit standards Provide functional guidance to M&E Operations Support Team and M&E specific guidance to Finance operations team Coordinate key finance process improvements in Meetings & Events Accounting and Control Transactional Support PTP A/P trade & non-Trade / T&E processing Vendor Approvals / Payment Validations / Invoice Approvals / T&E Approvals / Escalations for Inquiries OTC Accounts receivable processing / collection Customer Approvals / Credit Approvals / Collection Escalations / Dispute Resolution RTR General Ledger Accounting / Financial Close / Fixed Asset Accounting / Payroll Accounting Policies & procedures / Financial Statement Review / Manage selected accruals / Review B/S Reconciliations M&E Related / Approve manual Journal Entries / Annual Audit Management responsibilities This position would also suit a self employed contractor with their own limited company status.
