If the answer to most or all of these is yes then please read on as we have your next job We have been engaged by the owners of a thriving SME company, a specialist in their field, to recruit a qualified and experienced senior Financial Controller. This is a new post created in reaction to the growth and subsequent evolving needs of the business. This is a crucial role to the business; you will be the "go to" person for the numbers and the head of the finance department. Located in modern shared offices in the heart of Stamford, the Financial Controller will report and liaise regularly with the senior Stakeholders whilst managing a small team to ensure all transactional work undertaken in a timely and accurate manner. Tasks will involve - Producing annual budgets and forecasts Review and implement where required, financial and internal controls, ensuring said controls are adequate in managing risk within the business. Providing senior Stakeholders with insightful information to assist with long and short term decision making, such as cash flow forecasts Prepare monthly and annual reports Investor reporting Month end reviews - P&L , Balance Sheet Responsible for accurate and timely production of quarterly VAT returns The finance function will also be bringing in house some of the tasks being undertaken by the external auditors and your role will incorporate some of these. This is a fantastic opportunity to put your stamp on the team, to grow as the business does, and have a real impact on the company. With that in mind we seek only those who - Hold an ACA , ACCA or CIMA qualification Have post qualification experience in industry, ideally SME or OMB and are technically up to date Can demonstrate experience of managing a team Have solid management accounting and analysis experience. Possess advanced Excel knowledge (ie macros) and have a general flair for IT systems. On a personal basis you will be keen to make a difference, have an enquiring mind, be comfortable with challenging and working with senior Stakeholders, have an exceptionally high attention to detail and equally organised.
