Responsibilities:
Provide timely and insightful reporting to help effectively manage the business Monthly recognition of the Product and Managed Services revenue and cost of sales, maintaining the deferred revenue and prepaid cost schedules and releases. Providing GM analysis by customer to aid decision making Ownership of overheads P&L and related balance sheets. Analyse and explain overhead variances to budget Review charges at month end and reallocate across business units based on agreed apportion schedules and analyse spend against budget Responsible for maintaining the Fixed Asset register and calculating depreciation and recording of new assets and disposals and proving schedules for audit and statutory accounts Balance sheet ownership, working with other team members to gain backing schedules to be presented for month end sign off by Head of Finance and highlighting any areas that require further investigation or action Manage Inter-company process across the Group Develop a set of KPIs that allows management to determine the effectiveness of controls operating across the group Posting of journals Identifying process improvements across the Finance function in order to optimise efficiencies and to make best use of technologies Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns and EC Sales Utilise VAT knowledge to advise other team members on VAT implications on certain transactions Other adhoc and project work as requested by Head of Finance and CFO. Knowledge and Attributes: Part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Technically strong with a good understanding of revenue recognition Proficient in MS Office applications and an advanced user in Excel VAT experience essential Good knowledge of core financial systems and general accounting procedures Enthusiastic, committed and flexible to the demands of a fast-pace business with a significant amount of change Excellent organisational skills and ability to work unsupervised to manage your workload and to prioritise in order to meet all deadlines and deliver high quality work
