Our client is a business who have recently merged and are looking to recruit a finance director to integrate the businesses from financial perspective. The individual will lead the integration and in time look to lead the finance function of the group. Lead financial control, planning, analysis, investment and decision support activities for all Group companies Provide financial, operational and strategic support to the Group Executive, Senior Management teams and Investors and ensure a robust governance and analytical environment is maintained. Leadership The Finance Director will be a key member of the Group with responsibilities to drive the integration of the businesses from financial perspective. Lead the group finance team and ensure there are positive contributions at a strategic level Financial Control Own financial control, risk management and the overall integrity of the financial statements related to the group Manage all statutory and regulatory filings for group Manage all treasury, working capital, cash and cashflow forecasting activities. Ensure tax compliance and associated tax procedures are followed. Financial Planning & Analysis The Finance Director will be a key member of the team and regularly present to the Board Key initial responsibility for integrating two businesses from a financial perspective onto the one system (SAGE 200) Other key responsibilities include planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities including the development of financial strategies, working capital management and ensuring streamlined financial processes Direct responsibility for accounting, finance, tax, forecasting, governance processes and internal controls Responsible for production of the monthly Board Report (with input from relevant teams/entities) and production of the Finance section Preparing the annual budget, working with the relevant teams, with appropriate budget pack to be presented to the Board and Bank Producing operational and financial management information; ensuring broad understanding of financial and operational reporting across the business; commercial analysis of activities Working closely with the Operational teams to improve operational performance and best practise with required reporting, analysis of key drivers, management and reduction of inefficiencies, end-to-end margin analysis of activities & customers Optimising systems within the business and consistent use of those systems across the business Commercial Analysis Develop and implement Business Intelligence needs and Dashboard reporting to obtain timely insight into performance. Mine and analyse complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations. Develop channel by channel financial analysis and develop tactics to improve operational profitability. Ensure decision making across the business is based on factual insight and the consequences on operational performance. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant who has Integration experience, strong leadership and commercial skills, good understanding of Sage and ideally will come from a Manufacturing/Construction background.
