Reed Finance are delighted to be working with the UK's leading fuel distributor in search of a Chartered Accountant to join the company as their Head of Management Assurance. The role will see the successful applicant report into the Head of Legal & Financial Controller respectively. My client is looking for candidates who have gained their audit experience whilst working in practice or are currently working within internal audit. Candidates should have the ability to challenge current practice, offer solutions and champion best practice to be a catalyst for improvement. My client is looking for applicants with very strong finance & compliance experience with current or previous involvement with large corporate entities possessing strong knowledge of auditing, reviewing processes, procedures and financial controls. As part of the Senior Team on offer is an attractive package inc. bonus, car allowance & private medical cover. Candidates must be willing to travel between the different sites across the UK spending time with management in various business units. Key Duties & Responsibilities Taking ownership of current Standard Operating Procedures continuing the development and rolling out within the business and subsidiary companies Developing a standardised Risk & Control Matrix for business processes, areas and divisions Providing risk-based independent assurance to the Leadership Team Liaising with parent company's internal audit function, being the point of contact for all internal audits Assisting with the development and monitoring of the company's delegation of authority policy across a number of areas Liaising with the Head of Legal, Financial Controller and other members of the finance department with compliance matters Candidate Qualified CA with experience with internal or external audits Experience of working within energy or retail (candidates making a move from practice will also be considered) Current or previous experience with new acquisitions Skills Strong communication skills Highly analytical Current/previous project management experience Team player If this sounds like a role you wish to pursue or would like to know more about then please contact Roddy Mackenzie - or apply via this advertisement
