Slater and Gordon are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join our Motor division based in Blackpool. The role will involve providing support to the Management Accounting function in the production of financial information and analysis for both internal and external reporting requirements. The role will ideally be suited to a candidate who has completed AAT or equivalent and is part way through completing a further recognised accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA/ACCA). Responsibilities to include; To support the completion of the management accounting and period end close processes Providing accurate and timely information for production of weekly / periodic reports Assisting in the production of scheme profit and loss reporting Producing of data for financial and regulatory external bodies Assisting in the provision of data during the external audit process Producing ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as and when required What we are looking for; Basic knowledge and understanding of financial processes Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential Working knowledge of SUN Systems and Vision would be advantageous but not essential Ability to fully understand all processes and the impacts on the Company Financials Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Excellent time management and organisational skills Resilient in nature with excellent planning, organising and time management skills.
