A friendly, successful firm of Accountants are seeking to hire either a Bookkeeper or an Accountant into their sociable offices in Bedford. The level and scope of the role could be moulded to suit the candidate. The successful candidate will ideally have proven experience within practice, or have a strong bookkeeping background in industry. The salary would be entirely dependant on the level and experience of the hire and it could be a permanent or temporary role. Bookkeeper: You will oversee VAT compliance and report for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role is client facing, onboarding clients onto Xero and providing training, submitting returns and liaising with HMRC, and ensuring MTD compliance. Accountant: You will assist with the preparation of accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders, and tax returns for a wide range of clients. Duties would also include general bookkeeping as and when required.
