Location:
EH6 8HH Role: The firm is looking for a fully-qualified accountant with solid all round public practice experience in providing accounting and taxation services to clients generally. The prospective candidate will be in charge of the accounts department comprising of a staff of four, with the main objective to assist the management in it's growth plan. Future prospects for the right candidate are excellent as we are looking for a long term relationship with our firm. Having an excellent command of written and spoken English along with good communication and interpersonal skills is a necessity, as the role will involve dealing with the Director and senior management of both the firm and their client's companies. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years (post qualification) hands on experience. Ideally the candidate will also have a modern mindset and willingness to learn about current business models used by tech and digital companies as this is an area of interest to the firm. The role will involve assisting start ups and established companies with various aspects of start-up, growth and international expansion, including but not limited to: preparing a start up strategy assisting with company valuation and funding dealing with statutory compliance preparing management accounts, budgets and reports to aid the client's growth assisting with international expansion Core Competencies Ability to prioritise, take responsibility for assigned tasks and progress to completion within set deadlines i.e. strong task management skills. Good time management will be essential. Strong written and oral communication skills to support liaison within accounts team and with other departments in head office. Able to work well both within a team and on own initiative. Drive and determination to succeed, coupled with the ability to learn quickly. Experience with desktop and cloud accounting software.
