The Gleeds Advisory Strategy and Change Team (GASG) is a national team delivering management consultancy services to a wide variety of business sectors but predominantly the Public Sector. Procurement of complex contractual arrangements and partners is a key service line for the team. On the back of our strategy work and public-sector frameworks we have developed a strong pipeline of work as our clients seek to capture benefits and effect the change they desire. The procurement team has and continues to grow and we currently have an opportunity for an Associate Director - this is a national role with initial workload likely to be in the South reaching up to the South Midlands. About this opportunity The role holder will be responsible for leading and managing consultancy assignments in the procurement space, working with Clients and a wider team to implement an effective end to end process from determining appropriate procurement strategies, through to drafting relevant procurement documentation and notices and above all implementing a robust procurement process to a successful conclusion. As a result, applicants will have a proven track record in delivering OJEU compliant and non-OJEU procurement projects over a variety of routes (open, restricted, competitive dialogue etc) for the public-sector. Some experience of delivering built environment and / or development projects is desirable but not essential. This is a senior role within the team and although there is a strong pipeline of work, the longer-term expectation is that this individual will play an active role in business development, securing new work and will ultimately help take the team forward to deliver impressive growth. Given the seniority of the role and its requirements, you will be working with clients and stakeholders of all levels, sometimes explaining and gaining consensus for complex concepts and so excellent communication skills both oral and written will be a key requirement. Similarly, from an internal perspective, you will be required to play an active role in the mentoring, management and development of junior staff as well as the development of processes and procedures which increase efficiency and help maintain the quality of our work. Competitive dialogue in particular is essential for this role. Detailed knowledge of the public and potentially other industry sectors. Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to communicate effectively with the target audience both oral and written sometimes at the highest level. Ability to work as part of a team and lead teams successfully. The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously through excellent organisational skills Proficient networker / business developer. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office range of applications. You will be MCIPS qualified (or will shortly qualify) is an essential requirement.
