The Finance Analyst role is to deliver ongoing assurance to finance and category managers and to service providers senior management. Ensuring that the monthly costs submitted in the open book commercial model are valid, are compliant with the contract approved costs register, supported by appropriate evidence and are accurate and timely and within targets. The successful candidate will have a strong commercial analyst background, and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment. This role is based in London, with 2 days per week in Nottingham. We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join our Finance Business Partnering team. In this role you will play a key part in ensuring we financially manage our c£200m of outsourced contracts. You will work closely with colleagues across finance, operations and our outsource providers to ensure financial assurance.
• Responsible for the creation of open book cost assurance reports
• Lead the full open book cost review process, from sampling, evidence requests through to validation
• Proactively manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Support the Finance Business Partners with overall financial contract management
• Support in the delivery of the monthly accounts for the outsource functions What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?
• ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CMIIA or CIA qualified / part qualified
• Previous finance experience in analytical / cost review roles
• Planning and organisation skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Advanced user of MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook)
• Ability to challenge the validity of costs and accruals
• Resilience and ability to work with challenging stakeholders
