Graduate Business & Market Analyst The Company Joining the specialist electrical connections division of a global asset management company with over $650bn of assets under it's control world wide. In the UK, the company owns and operates 4 key utilities networks (power, gas, water and telecoms) with around 1 million customers serviced. The company business design, builds and retains ownership of assets in the network and are one of the largest independent operators of utilities in the country. Individual schemes can range up to £9m in value with long term revenue derived from the asset once installed. This is a highly stable business in a very dynamic industry which offers excellent opportunities for Business Analysts. The Role The Business & Market Analyst provides key management information to the sales, commercial and management functions in the business, and provides the key link to the finance department. Responsible for providing analytical support to the Sales & Management Teams, to deliver robust reporting and performance metrics to enable the business to have full visibility of performance, forecasts, market trends and opportunities. Provides understanding of commercial and financial risk through in depth management reporting.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and distribute robust bi-weekly management information, consisting of both Financial and Non-Financial KPI's to the business and report key variances. Working hand in hand with the Commercial Director and business owners, to provide data and insight to drive operational performance. Analysing data to understand the key observations and trends within the marketplace, projects, and reporting these observations to the Commercial Director. Interaction with all Sales Team to ensure accurate forecasting information is obtained and reported Day to day management of the change requests in relation to project plans to ensure that projects are accounted for correctly. Create monthly and quarterly forecasts for the major projects portfolio. Requirements A background in one or more of the following fields: Accounting, Finance, Business Intelligence/Analysis, Sales & marketplace analysis Recent graduate or similar level of experience Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to quickly absorb and apply new information Proactive approach to work An enquiring mind with strong analysis and numerical ability Effective prioritisation of workloads and initiatives to deliver results in a timely and relevant manner Strong MS Office skills including Excel (including pivot tables, macros and vlookups), Word and Powerpoint skills An ability to present ideas clearly, simply and confidently Reward £22,500 25 days Bank Holidays Pension schemes Gym Membership Mentorship and development by the Commercial Director
