Financial Accountant. Our client, part of a major group, is a long established and successful food manufacturer and market leader, supplying major retailers. It offers an exciting and challenging opportunity for a keen and enthusiastic Financial Accountant at its' site in Leicester. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will supervise and develop the accounts team of 7, covering Sales, Purchase Ledger teams and an Assistant Accountant. Playing a leading role in the completion of the monthly accounts, month end and year end processes, VAT returns, management and reconciliation the balance sheet, and constant review and enhancement of internal controls. You will support and challenge overhead budget holders, with reviews against budget and forecast. Ideally, the Financial Accountant will be ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified, with experience of working in a fast paced and varied environment. You will possess an an eye for detail and a naturally inquisitive and analytical mind, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
